Moab Take 2

For the second year in a row Stu, Dad, and Me went to Moab right before Memorial Day. This time Jon came with us as well. We decided to try a much easier trail to ride this year than we did last year. Last year it was Amasa Back that we went on. Boy that one was difficult. It was pretty when we got to the top but it was tough to get there. In fact Dad had quite the hard time. he got so hot and worn out that he curled up under about 1 square inch of shade to cool off.

This yeare we decided on Gemini Bridges as a major ride. it was about 17 miles round trip. Even though it was easier it still was challenging. It was a lot of fun.
This picture is from the top of the very first hill. the road below is where we started from. Basically you came up and down this at the beginning and the end so it didn't just get you at the beginning.

On Sunday before heading home at the end of the weekend trip we decided to take a hike as well basically because most of Butts were very sore from the ride the day before. We took a hike up to Morning Glory Bridge that is in the Negro Bill Canyon. It is one of the longest natural bridges in the world. It is actually very impressive. It's a 4 mile round trip hike and it is hugged right up next to a cliff face.

Just a few shots of Morning Glory Bridge.

This was a great trip. Getting away with just the 4 of us was alot of fun. I hope that this trip continues to happen each year even though I might not be able to go while at Law School (by might I mean Probably won't be able to.)

Thanks for the great trip all.

Cut me a little slack, man! After 50, you're allowed to hunker down in the shade whenever you want!
